“Take from no man his song.”
An online psychologist is always near.
Whether you live in a remote area, travel a lot, or hesitate seeking in-person support because of stressful life circumstances, anxiety, or executive dysfunction, help is available online.
I’m Hilla Väyrynen, a licenced psychologist in Finland (MSc) and drama instructor (BA).
Mielenlaulu Psychology Online is a low-threshold psychological service with a creative, contemplative, and neuroaffirmative approach.
I offer online consulting worldwide and mental telehealth in Finland. I provide services in Finnish and in English.
The services can vary from supportive one-time conversations to longer therapeutic processes according to your wants and needs. The process unfolds at your own pace.
No diagnosis or referral needed.
No traces left in digital patient systems.
The practice
All conversations are confidential and take place in a permissive, open-minded and compassionate atmosphere, allowing you to reorganize and understand your inner experience.
Anything and everything can be discussed without judgement or stigma. You don’t have to be structured or know how to talk about your worries in advance.
If you can’t find the words or don’t know where to begin, you can always bring a song, a picture, a text, or something else that speaks to you. Creative exploration is always welcome.
The exploration is gentle, drawing on your personal story, direct experience, and scientific knowledge. Integrating different views builds on a more holistic understanding, with more room to move.
The work takes shape individually and aligns with your natural ways of processing. It aims to restore a meaningful connection to the body, emotions and needs, and core values – and through them, to the surrounding world. To help you recognize yourself and what supports your mental wellbeing.
The approach may be a good fit, if:
🌱 Your worries aren’t clear-cut or easily put into words.
🌱 You long for depth and space to reflect without being hurried.
🌱 You grapple with shame, worry about being weird, or feel like an outsider.
🌱 You’re a creative, an artist, or wish to connect with your creativity more.
🌱 You’re on the neurodivergent spectrum (such as autism, ADHD, AuDHD).
🌱 You’re going through an existential crisis.
🌱 You have at some point felt that mental healthcare is stiff or stigmatizing.

International sessions aren’t healthcare, an thus, they don’t involve medical records.
Telehealth sessions for Finnish clients are documented manually according to Finnish rules and regulations. The records are safekept in a private repository and are never transferred to digital patient systems or Kanta. I’m always very discreet and your right to privacy is an utmost concern to me.
